Picture the Past
Teaming up with the Poquoson Museum and the Poquoson Historical Commission, the library is creating a digital archive of historic photos for the public to enjoy. Find it Virginia is a collection of databases that provide free 24/7 access to resources such as newspapers, magazine and journal articles, and books such as encyclopedias. Materials are available for all age ranges and interests.

SeniorNavigator Center
Poquoson Public Library has become a SeniorNavigator Center which combines the Internet with volunteers to provide access to over 23,000 health and community resources to seniors, caregivers, adults with disabilities and their families. Click the icon to get started.

We are proud to announce that your Poquoson Public Library was honored with two statewide awards from the Virginia Public Library Director's Association (VPLDA): the 2011 Outstanding Children’s Program award for “There's More Than Books @ Your Library” and the 2011 Outstanding Programs for Seniors award for "Old Age...It's Not For Sissies". The Library also received one of the three 2011 Library of Virginia Mini-Grants to implement "If You Find Them...They Will Come", an early literacy outreach program for children.
