Teen Advisory Board


	Next meeting will be Sept 20^th You Have a Voice! 6th through 12th graders, do you ever feel like no one cares what you think? Well, here at PPL we care! A group called the Teen Advisory Board meets regularly to plan and share ways to make your Teen Scene even better. Join your voice with ours! Our fall meetings will run from 4:30 to 5:30 PM on the following Mondays: September 20^th: elect officers and discuss projects for the year October 4^th: make plans for our community outreach, Mackenzie's Walk, to be held Oct 9th @ PHS November 1^st: discuss the book, Gulliver's Travels December 6^th: collect hats, gloves and soup for the food pantry

Teen Read Week
"Books with Beat"


	October 17^th - 23^rd TEENS, have you noticed something NEW in your Teen Scene? Due to popular demand, the young adult fiction area has been expanded to make room for lots of new reads! Be sure to check out the newest books in the YF collection. While you're here, try out the new, comfy butterfly chairs - perfect for chilling and reading. If you "Beat it" to the Teen Scene during Teen Read Week and spend at least 15 minutes reading there, you can enter our contest. You might win a bookstore gift card.

Who-o-o is Coming?


	Friday, October 29^th, 6:00 to 7:30 PM TEENS, it's Halloween Game Night @ PPL! Bring $2 for pizza and we'll bring out the Wii. Who-o-o will win? It might be YOU! Pre-register at the library's website or the Circulation Desk.

National Gaming Day


	Saturday, November 13^th, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM All ages, join families all across the nation for reading, learning, & playing at your favorite meeting place, the library! Drop in anytime... no registration required. We'll have something for everyone: board games, card games, Twister, Guitar Hero, and the Wii. "Wii" know you will have a lot of fun!
