Free Internet Access, including wireless, is available for all patrons with library cards. We recommend that parents/legal guardians accompany children under 13 while they are online.
Online Research Stations provide access to the Internet, as well as various databases. These computer are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Word Processing Stations Programs include Microsoft: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. Reservations are not required, but may be made by calling the library at 757-868-3060.
Printers are available for all word processing and online research stations. The cost is 10 cents per page.
Notary Service is available free of charge. Please call to ensure availability of Notary.
Passport Service The U.S. Department of State has designated the library as a Passport Acceptance Agency. Appointments are required.
Facsimile Service The cost to send a fax is $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. The cost to receive a fax is $1.00 per page.
Equipment for use in the library includes an overhead projector and screen, VCR/DVD player and large screen television, 35mm slide projector, typewriter, Xerox copier, microfiche reader, and a magnifier. Polaroid cameras may be checked out of the library for a period of one week. Copies cost $0.15 each.
