Books, Books on Tape/CD are checked out for 2 weeks and may be renewed up to 3 times, unless they are on hold for another patron.

Videotapes and DVD's are checked out initially for 1 week and may be renewed once if they are not on hold for other patrons. The library assumes no responsibility for damage to your equipment. Videotapes and DVD's are copyrighted and are for private use only. They may not be duplicated or erased.

Music CD's are checked out for 2 weeks and may be renewed once. Patrons are limited to three items from this collection at any one time.

Read-to-me Kits are available for one week checkout with one renewal. Patrons are limited to one kit per library card. Included in each kit are 4 books and a puppet relating to a specific theme (Fall, dinosaurs, bugs, etc.).

Battle of the Books and Virginia Young Reader books may be checked out for 2 weeks and may be renewed once. Patrons are limited to a total of 3 items from these collections per card.

Back issues of magazines for children and teens may be checked out for a 2 week period and may be renewed up to 3 times.

Adult magazines and journals are non-circulating items. The library retains 1 year for each of the titles it holds. Patrons searching for articles from previous years may find the material using the InfoTrac OneFile Database online.
